My senior project is an 18 minute video, titled “do not think to see.” I created the video as a journey that explores awareness and compassion. I combined stop motion photography, video, still photography, and my poetry to create places and concepts that depict different levels of awareness as well as a greater understanding of our world. Through my projects I hope that people see the need for conscious change in our world, and that we must begin with ourselves. “do not think to see” is my attempt to understand how we see, and the ways we can grow in awareness and compassion. For the audio in this video I collaborated with Madison Hitchcock, a student in the Purchase college music department.
